Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of Cabs and its components for locomotive application and other assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
• Use analytical tools like ANSYS or other FEA to evaluate structural components, including bolted joints.
• Provide shop support for in-house manufacturing and supplier issues.
• Interfacing with cross functional stakeholders across the organization.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
• Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
• Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.

Work Experience Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ of mechanical design experience is desirable; knowledge of sheet metal or light fabrication, structure calculation could be advantages.
• Strong capability of complex calculation of material strength. bolted joint, welded joint etc.
• Ability to use FEA tools like ANSYS.
• Ability in navigate UG/Teamcenter.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Fluent English in both oral and written.

Other Requirements:

• Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and deadline, team player and can work under pressure.
