Position – Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Job description

• Lead QA for all product releases and acting as a liaison with IT and Functional teams
• Create test plans, define testing strategies, and identify high-risk areas
• Lead Test script development, perform SIT and support UAT as applicable
• Collaborate with functional users and IT development team to develop comprehensive test plan
• Determine test effort/costs for test planning and execution
• Manage the execution of Test scenarios and Test cases Involved in Functional and Regression Testing
• Update existing test scripts and automated regression test scripts in alignment with changes to the Engineering Systems
• Develop and implement quality standards and metrics for the product releases
• Develop and maintain automated test cases to aid in regression, smoke, and iterative testing
• Work with all stakeholders to ensure that the quality metrics are reviewed, closed and agreed upon
• Understand the product technical details and support the development team in solving issues from functional users
• Ensure the team is focusing on automation along with manual testing
• Drive best practices for test execution and test management
• Maintain and publish test reports including defect summary and risks to all stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Mechanical Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of relevant QA experience with a good understanding of SLDC & QA methodology
• 2+ years of experience as Technical QA Lead role in CAD/PLM Tools
• Experience in Testing of Engineering Tools with one of the CAD tool integration e.g. NX, Catia
• Good experience on ALM domain (Rally) on CAD/PLM Tools
• Experience with Continuous Integration process and tools (Gitlab, GitHub, Jira, etc.)
• Experience testing product releases of Engineering products/Tools
• Experience with load and performance testing
• Able to champion quality practices within a team or organization
• Good understanding of Testing life cycle
• Knowledge on ITIL framework and follow Incident/Change/Problem management practices
• Knowledge of Project Management is a plus
• Quick learner, self-starter, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
