We are pleased to launch the ExcelHer program – the career returnship program at Volvo Group in India. The program is for women who have been on a career break for a year or more. This is our step towards empowering women to relaunch their professional journey after their absence from the workplace due to personal commitments. Exciting work assignments have been identified which you can refer to in the list below.

The assignments are for a tenure of 9 months. The participant of this program would have access to professional development programs, and mentoring assistance by a business leader, apart from the experience of working with people from different functions/technologies/cultures.

About the team:

CSETA Team is a group within Vehicle Engineering of Group Trucks Technology in Bangalore. This team has the responsibilities to develop components and systems such as Chassis Structure, Equipment & Transport Adaptation for different truck brands of Volvo Group.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in design and development activities.
  • Handle quality tools during the development process.
  • Cross-functional requirement balancing and stakeholder management.
  • Review of time plan and update/reporting of progress.
  • Solve virtual build issues.
  • Document engineering drawings by way of release process.

Skills Required:

  • Mandatory Skill Sets:
  • Engineering design in an automotive context
  • Concept generation and development
  • English business communication
  • Secondary Skill Sets:
  • FE simulation awareness
  • Automation of reparative tasks
  • Planning and organizing self with focus on results

Education & Experience Required:

  • Completed B.E. / B.Tech. Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (equivalent)
  • Required hands on experience of CAD Tools (Creo)
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
