Position – Lead Analysis Engineer

The position of Analysis Engineer is open in the Chassis department, GTT- BLR. We work for all truck brands in Volvo.
We are responsible for the virtual verification for all Chassis components – which includes Durability, multibody dynamics, CFD.

Job description with respect to the current external opening in the CAE team:

Responsible for complete vehicle level durability analysis
Build and Maintain the analysis database of complete vehicle models. Use the models to perform damage comparison at a vehicle level
Responsible for carrying out analysis related to Vehicle Comfort
Have regular interactions with the global counterparts, design and testing teams
Initiate / Lead technology areas related to simulations and explore new areas

M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
Must have CAE experience (more than 7 years) in executing projects related to structural analysis – Static and Dynamic analysis of automotive components
Must have experience in Transient, Frequency Response analysis as well as signal processing
Must have hands-on experience in Nastran, Ncode Glyphworks, and Ansa / Hyperworks
Must have performed correlations between measurements and structural analysis, preferably at a vehicle level
Must have worked on analysis related to Ride Comfort
Experience in Idle vibration / Handling is preferable
Product knowledge in Trucks is mandatory

We are responsible for the virtual verification for all Chassis components – which includes Durability, multibody dynamics, CFD.

Role description

Responsible for all the CFD analysis of Truck Chassis components
Have regular interactions with the global counterparts
Initiate / Lead technology areas in CFD
Mentor the team and interns on topics related to CFD
Implement Virtual Reality for CFD simulations
Collaborate with Universities and different departments, with respect to method development and explore new areas

BE/ BTech in Mechanical / Automotive, with strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics
Masters in Thermal / Fluid Dynamics/others – with Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) as a subject
Relevant experience (more than 10 years) in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer Analysis
Product knowledge in Automotive industry / Trucks
Must have worked on Underhood CFD analysis using Star CCM+ / Powerflow
Should have published a technical paper on topics related to CFD
Must have worked on Multi-phase CFD, Fluid-Structure interaction, Flow optimization simulations
