The digitalization and Automation team is at the forefront of digitalization initiatives in Vestas and is placed under Operational Excellence. We develop, implement, and support the digital tools/solutions across the value chain in Vestas. As a part of Logistics & Manufacturing Quality – Systems you will be a part of a global team working with IT technical support of shop floor solutions for Vestas Manufacturing globally within the areas of:

  • Manufacturing Execution
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintenance Management
  • Quality Management

Our primary systems within these areas being Dassault – Delmia Apriso, Quality Data Analysis, Infor – EAM and VDD.

The main purpose of this position is to support daily operations by monitoring & analyzing Manufacturing Execution System (Apriso-MES), Quality system and Asset Management applications, reporting to GIT Support Team Lead. Primary responsibility of analyst is to provide guidance to the support team in critical incidents. The successful candidate will work with the global IT and manufacturing teams to lead technology driven business process transformation and innovation in the manufacturing IT environment. It’s key that they could build up relationships with the business and gain credibility and respect to fully engage the business users in the Manufacturing operations. GIT Support department operates in 3 shifts on a rotation basis, so flexibility in terms of working hours is required.

Responsibilities

The above-mentioned Manufacturing operations management systems / tools are critical to ensure the smooth flow of operations in our factories across the globe. As part of Global IT Support team, you would be involved in the following activities.

Support Perspective.

  • Timely handling of incidents and support requests.
  • Understand the business processes & Vestas way of working.
  • Providing L1 support to the users of the above system.
  • Ideal candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a high customer satisfaction on these systems.
  • Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the shift supervisors / line manager.
  • Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
  • Learn to enhance practical, analytical, and critical-thinking skills through experience.

Operations Perspective.

  • Stay updated with technological advancements and industry trends to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and upgrades in the systems.
  • Regression Testing in relation to system maintenance, improvement & release deployment.
  • Handle deployment of packages and builds to Test and Production servers.
  • With a sense of urgency, monitor IT issues to ensure proper priority and leverage these to ensure issue resolution.
  • Prepare Knowledge base articles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
  • Freshers (2023 / 2024 passed out) or Minimum 1 year of Support Experience.
  • Possess a can-do attitude with attention to details.
  • Experience in any Manufacturing/shop-floor applications will be considered as added advantage.
  • Exposure to ERP tools (SAP PP/MM modules) will be considered as added advantage.

  • Aptitude towards learning manufacturing business process.
  • Broad Knowledge in Engineering Basics.
  • Knowledge of Wind turbines.
  • Exposure to Delmia Apriso and Infor EAM
  • Documentation skills
