Position – Procurement Engineer

Job description

ECM purchasing is part of Procurement, this department executes RFI & RFQ.

Responsibilities

• Read, Interpret & classify released engineering changes
• Responsible for the physical implementation of ECOs at Suppliers/Factories globally
• Technical support to Suppliers / Factories on change implementation
• Responsible for validating new design manufacturability with suppliers & enriching purchase info record
• RFQ – secure that missing master data is enriched (Info records, source lists, and quota arrangements) within the agreed SLA

Qualifications

B.E Mechanical with 2 to 3 years of experience

Competencies

• Ability to read, understand and communicate Engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Exposure in handling production documentation. Experience with selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting with suppliers
• Experience in supplier consolidation and cost-out projects
• Hands-on experience in using ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Fluent in English. (oral & written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint for reporting day-to-day developments/ reporting
• Ability to plan & prioritize work – also under pressure
• Proven analytical skills. Building BI Dashboard is an added advantage
• Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects
