Position – HSE Engineer
Vestas
Location – Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Provide support to the factory manager and the organization in all questions related to HSE
Follow‐up and coordination of incidents and accidents investigation and corrective actions
Identify and establish needed HSE training to the organization
Assure internal assessments of hazards and risks
Should be able to draft and communicate HSE related matters to the organization
Facilitate the implementation of HSE Management System, minimum fulfilling laws and regulations, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18 001 and Vestas procedures
Contact point for relevant authorities, including internal and external audits and review
Collate and report HSE data internally, towards authorities and to BU and Group reports
Improve safety culture

7-10 years experience in the relevant function
Safety officer by Qualification
Graduation in Engineering – (Electrical / Mechanical)
Good exposure in Environment & health, Statutory compliance and Continuous improvement in safety

Competencies

Good leadership
Good MNC Manufacturing background
Should have local regional language – Tamil
Functional competencies including Stakeholder Management, Continuous Improvement, QSE management system, Risk Management, Business understanding
