Engineering function, having expertise in technical documentation, process and layout design, Tooling design, PDM and testing automation supports Vesta’s global strategies through process optimization, production support, test validation, cost control, and E2E project management. We enact creative solutions and promote a continuous improvement culture to make Vesta’s vision come true.

This role is part of the Manufacturing design and EAM team, where Factory layout creation/ revision through 2D and 3D applications along with process simulations are being worked out.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing the optimal layout solution ensuring the Safety/Environmental and Ergonomics aspects are considered
• Responsible for detailing custom layout including floor plan, placement, routing, verification, and release of final database that connects systems and processes throughout a complex, industrial environment
• Responsible for validating the input data for the layout engineering of the building (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, cable list, electrical load list, etc.), evaluating them and verifying their technical consistency
• Responsible for designing the pipes, and electrical cable trays in the 3D model if required and doing an initial check of the consistency between the process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model
• Responsible for Process simulation, 3D virtual factory creation using NX Line Designer and simulation production scenarios using PlantSIM
• Responsible for all the related technical documents (progress reports, equipment introduction notes, change impact analysis, design procedures, etc.)
• Responsible for communicating the layout drawings to the various cross-functional teams and coordinating the layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules
• Responsible for project execution through SAP/ERP/ECM systems
• Contribute to cost reduction and improve quality through standardization and process efficiency improvements. Also contributes to production flow optimization
• Deliver the technical solution within quality, time and cost targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering (or) Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or allied with experience in Industrial design
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Plant layout design and layout detailing in both 3D and 2D environments
• Experience in design and specification in compliant with the relevant international standards
• Exposure to an intercultural environment with solid stakeholder management experience

Competencies

• Excellent communication. (Oral/ written)
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate Engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• PLM/ PDMlink exposure (Windchill or similar tool).
• ACAD/ NX Line Designer/ Process Simulate/ PlantSIM applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Projects, Excel & Powerpoint for reporting day-to-day progress.
• Ability to plan & prioritize work – also under pressure.
• Project management – Exposure to Gate reviews/ Activities/ Deliverable framework.
