Summary of Technical & Operations Support Department Job Description:

• Department Overview:
  • Part of Engineering & Business Service Center (EBSC), Chennai.
  • Focuses on Wind Blade & Assembly process optimization for quality, cost, and cycle time improvements.
  • Collaborates with Central PE, Launch Team, factories, and Technology (VPS).
• Responsibilities:
  • Drive production document updates and maintenance for factories and sites.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and QDA systems, and drive quality improvements.
  • Maintain and optimize QDA & NC systems, and analyze process quality indicators.
  • Create/update PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process work instructions.
  • Handle product non-conformities, and apply problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Perform performance and cycle time analysis, and engineering data reporting.
  • Provide technical support for internal and external non-conformity handling.
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (Polymer/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production/Industrial/Aerodynamics).
  • 2 to 7 years of experience in Wind, Engineering, Manufacturing, Automobile, and Aeronautical industries.
  • Ideal certifications: AUTOCAD/CREO, Six Sigma green belt, ISO 9001:2015 Auditor, VDA 6.3 certified auditor.
• Competencies:
  • Problem-solving skills using relevant methods and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of blade manufacturing process.
  • Experience in PowerBI app/dashboard development.
  • Risk assessment using FMEA tools, and project coordination across departments.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD, CREO, and Engineering change management.
  • Fluent in English (Oral & Written), knowledge of SAP ERP and Windchill.
