Aerodynamic & Mechanical > Nacelle Module > Nacelle Project Management
The Nacelle Project Management Department consists of +15 highly skilled and qualified Project Managers and Planners at three different sites (India, Portugal, and Denmark). The department is responsible for the portfolio management and execution of projects in the Nacelle Module where we have +200 employees. We are responsible for the full lifecycle of the product and therefore projects can be both Technology Projects, New Product Development, and Projects to support the Operational part of the Business.
The Nacelle Module primarily develops Structural and Mechanical components within the sub-modules Base Frame and Yaw, Rear Structure and Internals, Cooling and Conditioning, Transport, Construction and Maintenance, Modularized Nacelle, and Cover.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for running at least one project within our organization
- You will together with the line management and the technical leads ensure that we deliver as agreed within the project boundaries (Planning / Coordination)
- You will always have broad external exposure in the company and you need to coordinate and align with cross-functional teams & other modules / full value chain
- You will also have departmental responsibilities
- Ensure that benefits are captured in projects, and input for negotiation for the project’s prioritization is given
- Facilitate business case considerations to be able to prioritize projects and project change scenarios
- Build and maintain relations with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain, keeping your project team motivated and your stakeholders supportive
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical / Similar specialization
- Project management education or relevant project management training courses
- Project management certifications in Prince2 / IPMA are good to have
- Minimum 2-7 years of proven experience in the management of medium to high-complexity R&D projects within the Manufacturing Industry
- Experience with managing several projects simultaneously
- Experience using project management tools such as JIRA / MS-Project / SAP PPM
- Great language skills (verbal and written) in English are required
- Experience with global matrix organizations and managing many stakeholders across the value chain
- You are proficient in working with advanced project management tools (e.g. SAP PPM, MS Project, JIRA), KPI, and project performance metrics

- You have good interpersonal skills including proficiencies in conflict resolution
- You have a solid commercial understanding and can naturally incorporate external. partners, as well as the full value chain of Vestas, into your daily work
- You have advanced communication skills verbally and in writing and you are experienced in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- You are structured, detailed, and administratively significant
