Job Description for Engineer – Product Design

Primary Objective: Collaborate with the Manager on various projects, focusing on concept design, bills of materials, modeling, drafting, and CAD to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for new product development, value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), and quality improvement.
• Understand and deliver customer requirements.
• Design and develop parts and assemblies, providing comprehensive design packages (3D models, assemblies, drawings, BOM structures).
• Collaborate with design team members to optimize product design.
• Take on additional roles and responsibilities as needed.
• Adhere to organizational project management processes.

Requirements:

• Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with relevant design environment experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with Creo in the sheet metal domain.
• Proficiency in bills of materials, modeling, drafting, and change request/change order (CR/CO) processes.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools like Agile or PD Cloud is advantageous.
• Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
• Experience in telecom/electrical enclosure design is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, willing to learn, and organized.
• Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in Creo and managing necessary modifications.
• Experience with external simplified representation is a plus.
