Job Title: Associate Engineer Mechanical
Department: MCAD CoE
Description of Essential Duties:
- To work in a Global Environment for Design Engineering support activities for New Product development, VAVE, and Improvement projects.
- To Work on projects/assignments (short or long term) such as Concept design, NPD, Bills of Materials, CAD Modelling & its detailing (using Solidworks Tool) & Change Orders to maintain desired quality levels set by the organization.
- Work on design and development of part/assembly & Provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
- Must also be able to work independently with little guidance.
- Adherence to the project management process set by the organization.
- Being part of the Global Engineering Function, he/she is expected to maintain desired quality & schedule adherence defined by the organization and report as per the defined communication plan.
Required Competency:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
- 1-3 years of experience on the Solidworks platform in the Sheet metal domain is a must.
- Must have good working experience in 3D modeling and detailing work on Solidworks with experience in generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of the CO process.
- Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD cloud will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of the sheet metal fabrication process will be an added advantage.
- Experience in telecom/electrical enclosure design is an added advantage
- Good Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
- Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized
- Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SOLIDWORKS and managing modifications as required.
- Working experience on External Simplified representation will be an added advantage.
