What you will do at Valmet:

  • As a Head of Energy Sales professional you will lead, direct and develop Valmet’s Energy Business Unit sales projects/activities and Leading Environment Solutions (Mill wide odorous gas handling for pulp mills and Air emission control for Energy Customers (both Government and Private Sectors) in India so that sales activities meet the organization’s business objectives, comply with regulations, and protect the organization’s reputation and strengthen customer awareness.
  • You will be working closely with the Global Operations team to develop the Business Model for various production within Energy segment .
  • You will be working closely with our customers (leading power generation companies in both Public & Private sector) , bringing future to our customers through winning solutions by combining our technologies and services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You are required to create new business opportunities in a proactive and customer-oriented way.
  • Collaborate internally across functions to channelize an offering to customer and support with a clear value preposition
  • You are responsible to ensure compliance of contractual terms and conditions in a highly competitive business environment, bid to tender during Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase of sales management including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, pricing, and issue resolution.
  • Administered each phase of bids from receipt of inquiry to contract signing, executing project-specific sales strategy.
  • You are expected use best networking, influencing and negotiation skills that will allow you to easily interact in the matrix structure.
  • You are responsible for effectively manage own team, recognizing performance, identifying and implementing development activities of team members.
  • Adhering to company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures
  • Adhering to company’s Values, Business principles and Code of conduct
  • What we expect from you:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Graduate (or) Post Graduate in Mechanical or Power Plant Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • Experience in sales and delivery of projects in energy segment is a must.
  • Business and customer-oriented person with good leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Typical minimum relevant experience required will be 15 years in Energy business.
  • Documented capital sales experience.
  • Good communication and influencing ability to create long-term relationships with the customer
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Open for Travel
