Position – Team Leader CAD

| Mission |
| In his scope of management i.e. the team of Mechanical design/CAD engineers:- Hierarchically manage his group of engineers / technicians in a given product. Especially ensure the right level of capabilities, competencies and expertise.- Responsible to deploy and implements the “state of the art” standards, processes, methods & tools in his team- Participate to the improvement of the standards, process, methods & tools in his metier- Check / audit the implementation of the internal best practices (JRMS/PLM/QRAP/Transversal) |
Responsibilities
Accountable for :
Complying with Mechanical processes and Design Rules:
- Plan, monitor and control activities according to Metier PD of his/her PG/PL following CPM (CLEAN Project Management)
- In charge of the robust design/validation in line with the economical targets
- Review Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications
- Applies Standardization rules exceptionally will request destandardizations based on justifications
- Responsible for Metier design reviews preparation
- Interface with the requesters/customers for the Metier content
Management & Competency
- Manage his team of engineers and technicians (yearly reviews, meetings, missions, objectives)
- Define the necessary qualifications and training plan for his team with the support of his management
- Allocate his team staff in the project’s activities
- Propose training and career evolutions with the support of his management
- Contribute to the recruitment of the members of his department
Process, Methodology, Tools, Equipment
- Deploy the Engineering process, methodology, and tools defined by / together with the N 1
- Participate in the improvement of the standards, methods & tools
Standardization & Robust Design
- Ensuring knowledge, training, and implementation of the standards within his team
- Review and challenge concepts and design requests before release
- Ensure that every single design is achieving the highest level of Robust design.
