The Opportunity:
JD: Associate II – Engineering Design
Responsibilities:
Exp: 3 to 5 years.
- Extensive work experience in creating parts, kits, and sub-assemblies (from scratch to top-level) & releasing in PLM software with Engineering Change Management Process.
- Extensive knowledge of Product Structure Management including Product Structure Tree & Product Option Architecture.
- Knowledge/Exposure to Design For Assembly & Design For Serviceability.
- Maintain Model updates & incorporate all design changes.
- Creating Options and Variants Logic in Windchill.
- Create a 3D virtual model that aligns with the real products.
- Works on Creo CAD tools to make design, document & BOM changes.
- Responsible for releasing, and revising parts, assemblies & OEMs using PLM (Windchill) & ERP (SAP) applications.
- Reads & Interprets engineering drawings and rectifies design issues to prevent or resolve manufacturing concerns.
- Applies manufacturing knowledge in resolving supplier & manufacturing concerns on mechanical design & assemblies.
- Responsible for working with Design & Manufacturing engineers and executing design release and update activities.
- Applies problem-solving & critical thinking while working on design & manufacturing issues.
- Ability to handle complicated products and maintain MLO standards for modules/system level with various configurations.
Other Responsibilities
- Develop BKMs and train the team on lessons learnt
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve the roadblocks and enable faster implementation of engineering changes.
Job-Specific Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge & experience in product assembly of mechanical & (or) Electrical components. (Hands-on)
- Basic knowledge of metal & non-metal materials, and manufacturing processes.
- CAD knowledge & experience with CREO & Equivalent CAD tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of stake holders
- Ability to understand complex machine configurations and the impact of configuration changes.
