About Role:
The role of the Chassis Engineer will be to design and develop a number of significant components and systems that make up the motorcycle chassis. This could include a frame, swingarm, wheel, handlebar, etc. You are responsible for your design areas from concept to production and have responsibility for managing, mentoring, and developing workloads.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designing quality chassis components and systems of new class-leading motorcycles.
- Creating complex geometric models with high-quality, assemblies and technical drawings (including accurate use of GD&T) to company and universal standards.
- Creation of realistic, logical, and relevant plans and timelines for your areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring the dedicated timely release of all components and design changes adhering to the project timeline.
- High communication and working with key stakeholders to ensure quality design and feasibility. Adhering dto epartmental and company policies.
- Ensuring application of relevant industry standards and benchmarking of competitor components.
- Preparing design concepts and drawings.
- Designs in reviews with senior management across the company.
- Attending the engineering reviews and discussions.
- Making decisions as required and input for decision making.
- Create documents based on best practices.
- Enhancement of knowledge of engineering and technologies.
- Ensuring the best support for cross-functional requirements.
- Ensuring QCD targets while part-level design.
- Occasional travel may be required to support supplier development and product testing.
Educational qualifications preferred:
Degree: Bachelor of Engineering – BTech/MTech in Mechanical Engineering
