- Perform a full life-cycle product development (Design, Develop, test prototypes, and implement)
- Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements
- Interact with cross-functional teams and engineers from other disciplines, to understand various requirements in developing the design
- Study the system design and perform design risk assessment of the product based on design changes
- Perform product verification to evaluate the products overall performance, reliability and safety.
- Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
- Prepare performance study reports and present in a format that enables decision making
- Work with global Sustenance engineering (POE) teams to maintain alignment on business unit R&D and existing product development road maps and resources
Minimum Qualifications
- First Class Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Mechanical/Refrigeration/Electrical Engineering
- Proven working experience in mechanical/Refrigeration/Electrical engineering, specifically in the design and development of products such as laboratory, home appliances, temperature and pressure control equipment.
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc
- Solid understanding of electronics core concepts including Embedded Hardware Engineering
- Solid understanding of technical risk assessment and mitigation plan development
- Working experience with global engineering teams and remote engineering
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years overall experience with minimum 2 years of design verification experience (relevant),4 years + for Masters
- Hands-on experience in driving DFMEA, Engineering hand calculations and product performance testings
- Design verification plan development and risk assessment
- Good knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
- System Design knowledge in refrigeration
- Analytical thinking, ability to comprehend the situation/ Problem
