Engineer – Mechanical Design & Integration

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design & Integration Engineer to lead and support the design, development, and integration of mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will possess strong CAD skills, an understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to work cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineers to deliver robust and manufacturable solutions.
Mechanical Design & Integration
- Closely work with the battery design team to meet manufacturing requirements, as well as the interface between design and manufacturing.
- Conceptualized, designed, manufactured, and validated the tooling, including jigs and fixtures for battery pack module assembly and mechanical and electrical test cases.
- 3D modelling, 3D finishing, and 2D detailing for tooling design for complete battery pack assembly processes.
- Battery cell interconnection process optimization for Laser welding, Laser bonding & Resistance spot welding, Wire/Ribbon bonding.
- Build battery test modules from CAD to Manufacturing and readiness for validation.
- Perform PFMEA, DFM for Battery assembly procedures.
Domain skill requirement:
- Strong understanding of Li-ion battery Engineering design architecture.
- Standard design methodology on Jigs and fixtures.
- Proficiency in CAD design using tools such as CATIA, NX, etc.
