Job description
This post will involve responsibility of Crusher & Tracks Assembly activities. The Role requires interaction with Manufacturing Engineering, PPC, stores team, Fabshop, Painting and Quality team for getting required parts and make the production process to flow smooth.
Role of the position is ensuring On time delivery to next level customer (Assembly line) with Quality ensured assembly.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in Production meetings.
- Interact with Main Assembly to meet the assembly requirement as per weekly plan
Make a daily Plan of Assembly activities in a sequence & allocate manpower. - Conduct the morning & evening meetings with production team to communicate the plan & to understand the Safety & quality requirements.
- Co-ordinate with stores, fabshop, SB & painting for smooth material flow prior to the start of assembly & ensure that there are line stoppages for the want of materials.
- Stay in the shopfloor and support team for achieving production targets.
- Ensure that the SAFE working practices are followed during production.
- Ensure that the QUALITY systems are followed at every stage and the required Quality is achieved right at first time.
- Knowledge of operating and handling the overhead Cranes
- Maintain Discipline in shop floor
- Ensure that the team follows the set 5S standards & weekly 5S scores are achieved.
- Should be able attend to any technical issues faced during production & Interact with ME & Design team for any major issues and resolve the same on a timely basis.
- Responsible for implementation of HSE , New processes , safety practices in the shopfloor.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of experience or in a Production environment preferably in any of OEM plants.
Skills :
- Ability to diagnose the issues related to new products & resolve the same on a timely basis.
- Ability to interact with operators & address any grievances in a unionized environment.
- Drive for results and pull support from other depts. to reach goals.
- Should be able to take up stretched goals.
- Motivate the team for process improvements through Suggestions & Kaizen to achieve saving in terms of time, cost & Quality improvement
