Job description
This post will involve the responsibility for supplier evaluation, Spec review and PPAP approval of all new parts development at supplier end
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Study the drawings
- Specification review and discussion with Engg
- PPAP documentation coordination with all suppliers
- Prototype inspection – Dimensional / NDT
- Development of required Jigs/fixtures/inspection templates/gauges
- Addressing assembly issues related to the new parts
Experience & Qualifications:
- B.E / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 8 years of experience in Equipment Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering Industry
- Hands on Experience in Dimensional and NDT inspection
- Good technical expertise in mechanical, structural (fabrications & sheet metal).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Clear understanding of drawings with GD&T
- Understanding of welding and machining processes
- Problem solving skills with knowledge of 8D report methodology
- Creativity and innovative thinking.
- Good English communication skill, both written and spoken
- Good Presentation and interpersonal skills
