Job description

Position: Senior Engineer Supplier Quality Engineer Prototyping

Experience

BE/Diploma In Mechanical/ Automobile with 5 to 8 year. Overall responsibility for building child parts, fixtures and tooling of prototypes for the assigned projects

Responsibilities

• Ensures the quality of child parts, fixtures and tooling for prototypes
• Ensures the on-time delivery of parts according to customer demand
• To optimize the planning and production of child parts, fixtures, and tooling for prototypes
• To keep procedures and to standardize prototyping processes
• Supplier development: Ensures state-of-the-art manufacturing capacity and capabilities at the supplier’s end according to the customers’ requirements
• To keep the good image of Tenneco

Duties

• Child part & standard fixture development together with supplier, shift leader & CAD
• Create Control plans for prototypes & derive out of it checklists for proto shop & supplier
• Create child part & fixture component PO
• Supervise the part building at suppliers’ end: Tracks and supports the detailed progress of the prototyping
• Check part quality
• Create and maintain a status overview of all orders (SAP or local used software)
• Supplier development for fixture and tooling used in prototype shop
• Working with Checklists & Inspection Reports for child part and fixture building
• CMM Inspection of fixtures and child parts in-house

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or related sciences
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies of sheet metal products
• Good knowledge of Office software, like Microsoft’s MS Office
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Organization aptitude, pragmatically, independent, integrated cautious
• Self-dependent, methodical, and systematic working behavior
• Assertiveness and motivation-capability
• Teamwork
• Customer-oriented, confident behavior in contact with the customer
• Languages: Fluent English in spoken and written
