Job Description & Responsibility – Design Engineer

1. Producing Engineering Concept designs, master sections, and macro feasibility under the direction of the Delivery Manager/Team Lead throughout the styling phase.
2. Trim component and assembly CAD modeling and 3D annotation, Create and update the BOM for Trim components, and make sure that data is delivered promptly at each milestone in accordance with the Project time plan and the timeline that the Project lead has established.
3. In PLM, design detailing, drawing generation, DFMEA preparation, and TPL development and release
4. Create a DFMEA for the individual exterior trim parts and assemblies that satisfies all TML standards for functionality, performance, and quality.
5. Recognize and use input for the design, engineering, development, and launch of the vehicle from all within TML agencies and external agencies (component suppliers, engineering service providers).
6. Engineering support POST launch to address any production, Weight, Quality, and Cost Reduction initiatives
7. Take part in TML projects like VAVE, reduce weight, and enhance quality while delivering products that meet the specified cost, quality, and weight goals.

Domain Skills/Technical Competency :

1. Domain expertise in Trims Design for Automotive Exterior Components and Assemblies is required for the position.
2. Design and engineering of plastic components for trimmings, aesthetic beadings, seals, and finishes
3. understanding of plastics tooling, production techniques, and molding techniques.
4. competence in CATIA for solid, surface, assembly, and 3D annotation modeling.
5. really good work understanding of engineering procedures such as DFMEA, DVP, DFM, DFA and DFS, etc.
6. understanding of PLM, vehicle BOM, and engineering BOM

Education – Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience – 1 to 3 Years
