Job description

Scope of Role

The engineer is involved in the design and development of new products and providing design solutions as per client requirements. He is responsible for requirements study, feasibility check, creating concepts/layouts and 3D models, 3D annotation, 2D Drawings, Data Release in TC, Change Management

Area of Responsibility

• Create concept design/layouts / alternate designs / do the design calculations
• Create 3D models
• Generate 2D drawings and 3D annotation
• BOM Creation and Data management in Team Center
• Creation of technical documents as directed by TL
• Adherence to all quality parameters and processes as required by organization as well as client requirements
• Prepare technical presentations for assigned tasks
• Communicate with peers / onsite team/customer on a regular basis or as per project need
• Attend review meetings/conference calls with (peers / onsite team/customer) and provide the inputs for the meeting as requested by TL / Module lead / Onsite Coordinator
• Participate in knowledge sharing and training sess ions
• Document the best practices, and preferred work procedures and get them validated by the team leader
• Ensure on-time delivery with the required quality level
• Timely update the work status to the technical lead/customer / Onsite Coordinator
• Participate in idea generation to improve productivity and processes
• Participate actively in the acquisition of patents and publishing technical papers in their area of work
• Onsite support to clients if required

Knowledge / Experience

• 2+ Years

Essential:

• Hands-on experience in design or integration of at least one and preferably more in BIW Structure, Underbody
• Front End. Front Floor, Rear Floor assembly Upperbody, Sealing,
• Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements,
• Good communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels
• Liaise with Cross-functional teams, Peers
• PC Literacy: Power Point, Excel, Word etc
• CAD Literacy: Ability to generate parametric CAD data and Master sections in CATI A V5• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.

Qualification:

• Minimum BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/ Automotive Engineering
