The Context / Purpose of the Job
Tata Steel has embarked on a growth plan. To enable this, substantial project activities are anticipated. The roles/purpose of this position is to ensure supply of Project Equipment from TGS as per Customer Delivery Date (CDD):
Job responsibilities
a. Overall objective of the role
- Carry out project scoping activities and prepare Project Milestone plan
- Develop systems & processes to ensure that the project is completed within time cost; meeting required standards of quality & safety and other deliverables.
- Assess resource requirements and make available / develop the same for current & future projects
- Continuously evaluate & innovate overall project management activities such that benchmark performances are achieved.
- Monitoring & control of the project regularly
- Identify & mitigate risks during project execution
- Project closure including capturing of learning at every stage of the project
- Project completion within time & cost as per scope and quality
b. Major tasks & responsibilities
- Scope finalization with customer and supply as per specification
- Budget Preparation and Approval
- CDD – Milestone Plan and signoff with all stakeholders
- Request for design release to PED or Design
- Release of PR in SAP post releasing of Drawing / BOM in SAP
- Uploading of PR in the Procurement tracker
- QAP of Pur & Mfg item (if applicable)
- Manufacturing advise to PED for Production order
- Revision drawing communication to commercial and PED with revision control
- Coordination with design for drawing approval & deviation acceptance for B/O item
- Coordination with design getting technical vetting for B/O
- Creation of STR, STO & delivery order in SAP & Packing list as per Checklist
- Complaint Logging in CCHP
- Monthly Project Progress Report
- Monthly Project Cost Report
- Project Closure in SAP system
