Job Description
Key Roles:
- Inspection of assembly and erection of machines and equipment such as Stacker Reclaimer, Wagon Tippler, Crusher, Screen, Feeder, Belt Conveyor, DE/DS/FF Systems at field sites.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years relevant experience
(OR)
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 7 years relevant experience
Certifications Required:
- NDT Level II in RT, UT, PT, MT
- Welding Inspector certification
Responsibilities:
- a) Verification of raw materials-plates, structural sections, etc. and review of TCs
- b) Review and approval of WPS, PQR prior to execution of site welding
- c) Review of welder qualification certificates / witnessing welder qualification tests prior to commencement of welding
- d) Inspection of structural fabrication at site
- e) Inspection of structural & equipment erection with theodolite/dumpy/total station
- f) Inspection of erection & alignment of rotating machines and drive units.
- g) Welding inspection as per drawing and relevant codes
- h) Review of radiographs and witnessing UT as per drawing and weld test schedule
- i) Witnessing various tests of system/equipment Trial/Run test, Load test, Hydro test, Leak test, etc.
- j) Painting inspection
- k) Preparation of protocols as per FQP
- l) Verification of punch points observed during various stage inspections
- m) Coordination with the customer for customer hold/witness points as per FQP and submission of final documents to customer
- n) Periodic feedback of site quality-related issues to QA at Head Office
- o) Work as a site team member for successful completion of site work

- B.Tech/B.E. – Mechanical, Diploma – Mechanical
