Position – Process Engineer (Designer)
Location – Bengaluru, Karnataka
Exp. – 5+ year

Job description

  • Diploma/Bachelor of Mechanical / Chemical Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related engineering field – experience in water & wastewater treatment systems is preferable.
  • Expert level of proficiency in basic computer programs viz., AutoCAD 2018, Smart PID
  • Additional Exposure / Knowledge to work in Plant 3D, PDMS is preferable.
  • Exposure to working in system tools viz. Product Data Management (PDM), Auto Vault, etc.,
  • Proactive & effective communicator with a high degree of ownership.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong aptitude for planning and managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish & maintain relationships with co-workers.


  • Develop conceptual Process Flow Diagram (PFD) with little guidance from the Process Design team.
  • Basic Knowledge of Water & Wastewater systems for technology requirements viz., SUF, MBR, RO, EDI, EDR, ZLD, Desalination, and Chemical dosing systems.
  • Develop PID based on PFD with little guidance from cross functions.
  • Involve cross-function like Mech., Elec., Inst., Piping & Controls, and finalize PID along with Lead Project Engineer.
  • Implementation of SWTS standards in developing PID, PFD, etc.,
  • Implementation of customer standards as required for the project in PID/PFD legend, Equipment tagging philosophy, Pipeline numbering system, etc.,
  • Application knowledge on the type of valves & Instruments for the intended service.
  • Sizing of pipe & Tanks etc., as per process requirements
  • Knowledge of above technology-related chemicals & its system requirements.
  • Knowledge in developing layout with sections, HFD, and area drawings is preferable.
  • Lead & develop drafting team with timely guidance & training.
  • Preparation of Valve list, Equipment list, Pipeline list under the guidance of LPE.
  • Develop standard PID’s for quick use in proposals
  • Effective participate in Basic Engineering design reviews and Hazop
  • Site visits for project technical requirements
  • Quality – work to complete meeting the requirements of the project and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Schedule – activities are to be completed in the allotted timeframe.
  • Efficiency – activities are to be completed within budgeted hours.
