What you will do
- CMM inspection program creation and qualification
- Design and Implement dimensional and/or visual inspection per the product drawing using gauges and other reliant inspection equipment.
- Perform material and component inspections.
- Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and verify FAI data (incl. statistical analysis) is acceptable.
- Perform Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility and Measurement System Analysis
- Perform the calibration and validation of test and data analysis equipment and systems
- Support business inspection needs through technical analysis of measurement problems, accuracy and precision requirements.
- Process monitoring for clean lines and furnaces
Qualifications
What you need
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience in CMM & Vision System Programming.
- Highly Preferred for programming experience in Carl Zeiss – Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Clear thinking and good documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- This job would suit someone with an interest in the identification, investigation and implementation of new advanced metrology and inspection systems and technologies
- Ideally a minimum of 4 or more years’ experience
- Experience supporting engineering, quality and laboratory personnel in design through on geometric tolerancing, tolerance stack-ups and gauge design
- Strong track record of root cause analysis and problem solving of metrology issues
