Who we want:
- An individual who can work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for CFD in the entirety of the product development cycle.
- Responsible for the execution of the simulation activities under mentorship. Interact with design engineers, principals, and simulation experts in India and overseas, in the CFD planning & execution to accelerate product development.
- Open to learning advancements in simulation, best practice sharing and disseminating the learning to the project and simulation team of the organization.
- CFD expert role is to support product development teams, primarily in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) at the components & assemblies of Stryker products.
What you will do:
- Interact with the various product development teams and understand the CFD requirements.
- Work with the design, validation, and advanced operations teams to create CFD modeling plan and model preparation.
- Perform fluid dynamic simulations on medical devices.
- Interact with product owners and translate the problem statements to flow models.
- Analyze and interpret simulation results and provide recommendations to project teams.
- Perform validation and verification of CFD models against test data.
- Create and maintain simulation models and datasets.
- Develop new methodologies/workflows for carrying out simulations.
- Explore new avenues for simulations.
- Interact with vendors for carrying out simulations and ensure the quality of the deliverables.
- Participate in simulation workshops, forums, training & conferences both internal & external.
- Strong background in Fluid dynamics basics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Fluid-structure Interaction techniques
- Ability to write codes in MATLAB or similar tools used for mathematical modeling, write User Defined Functions (UDF) for implementing it in simulation tools such as Ansys etc.
- Knowledge on Meshing for CFD simulation is a must.
- Understanding of advanced fluid dynamics concepts such as Multiphase flow, Turbulence modeling and conjugate heat transfer are needed.
- Strong knowledge on design optimization and hands-on experience at CFD tools customization/automation
- Experience on building patient specific models for CFD simulations is a plus.
- Creation of machine learning models using CFD simulation datasets is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAE software’s like ABAQUS, Altair Radios and Hyper Mesh is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on ASME V&V 10 & 40 is preferred.
What you need:
- B.E/ BTech /M. E/ MTech /M. S in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or Biomedical Engineering
- Experience: 1 – 3 years relevant experience in R&D
- Excellent analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal, and communications skills and demonstrated track of having worked in a global team setup.
