Position – After Market Sales Support Engineer-Control Valve

Job description
- After Market Sales Support Application Engineer will report to the Commercial Operations Manager and the position will be based in Bangalore. The incumbent will provide aftermarket technical and commercial quotation support for Control Valves to the Global Com. Organization in order to generate sales. Responsibilities include preparing, coordinating, and issuing detailed quotations for control valve equipment parts and service in accordance with established company policies and practices. This list is not exhaustive.
- This position acts as an expert in solutions related to Copes Vulcan offerings and works in close conjunction with customers and representatives to provide the best possible available solution. Acts as an interface between operational and support departments in exceeding customer’s expectations.
- Coordinates liaison between Global Commercial Operations and all other operational departments.
- Cooperate with Line Manager in regards to inquiries and quotations
- Follows supervisor instructions on methods, techniques, or approaches.
- Process inquiries and assist in resolving customer concerns.
- Prepares techno-commercial proposals aligning with customer requirements for equipment parts and service.
- Maintain records of representative’s quotations and updates to all stakeholders
- Assist customers and/or representatives on all questions concerning our product specifications
- Attend clarification meetings.
- Facilitate order handover to site facility for manufacturing
- Actively pursues sales targets for valve spares and services.
- Progress order bookings and ensure order throughput is managed in a timely fashion.
- Maintain proper records to permit the formation of a weekly quotation forecast.
- Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, order hand-over packages, and internal sales forecasting tools.
- Technical interface with internal and external personnel
- Support of large installed base with responses to technical questions.
- Understanding valve products and major valve components
- Excellent technical capability.
- Able to identify parts and service requirements across a range of control valve equipment.
- Commercially focused.
- Ability to assess commercial terms and conditions.
- Proven track record of a customer service ethos.
- Interacts with customers by phone or in-person to provide information and to ensure the best technical service possible.
- Exposure to International business
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
Qualifications
- B.E in Mechanical Engineering in regular course from recognized Institute/University.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in technical tendering of valve equipment parts and service. Preference will be for a candidate with aftermarket experience
- Excellent communication skill in English language and the ability to interact with global customers and internal stakeholders
- SAP knowledge
Position – Senior Application Engineer (Control Valve)

Job description
- Handling all correspondence and inquiries with customers and reps regarding the application of the product, technical information, process, and preparation of quotations and system sketches where necessary.
- Working closely with the appropriate resources within to proactively represent and service customers and sales channel representatives.
- Supporting technical presentations to customers.
- Assist customers and/ or representatives on all questions concerning our product specifications.
- Maintain records of representative’s quotations and updates to all stakeholders
- This position will work closely with customers on issues related to application, design, manufacturing, and quality of products in an effort to reach a prompt resolution.
- Handling all correspondence and inquires with customers and reps regarding Application of Product, Technical Information and Prices
- Preparation of quotations and system sketches where necessary.
- Assist customers and/or representatives on all questions concerning our product specifications.
- Cooperate with regional managers in regard to quotations and inquiries.

- Assist reps and their personnel in matters of policies and procedures.

- Assist customers and/ or representatives on all questions concerning our product specifications.
- Work closely with customers on issues related to application, design, manufacturing, and quality of products in an effort to reach a prompt resolution.
- Cooperate with regional managers on all phases of new business development.
- Directly review and process all incoming customer inquiries
- Support Product Development
- Expert technical knowledge with Control Valves, Desuperheaters, and Steam Conditioning Products and the systems they go in.
- A strong commercial focus.
- Shrewd in negotiation.
- Familiar with successful business improvement, margin improvement, and cost reduction programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
Qualifications
- B.E in Mechanical Engineering in regular course from recognized Institute/University.
- 6-10 yrs experience as an application engineer for control valves/ Desuperheaters and Steam Conditioning Products and the systems
- Experience in reviewing highly detailed specifications and writing comprehensive and accurate bids
- Excellent communication skill in English language and the ability to interact with global customers and internal stakeholders
