JOB SUMMARY

The application Engineer will report to Team Lead – and the position will be based in Pune. The incumbent will support technically Key Account Managers, Channels rotating equipment like Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Lobe Pumps, and also equipment like Homogenizer, Separators, and Mixers required in the Dairy, Food & Beverage Segments. Apart from equipment knowledge, basic process knowledge in the Dairy, Food, and Beverage segment is desirable. Responsibilities include preparing Quotations, issuing same to Key Account Managers and Channels for the above-listed equipment and resolving technical issues, clarifications time to to from inquiry, proposal, ordering, execution, commissioning stages as well as participating in root cause analysis of issues which may crop up during active life of that equipment.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates liaison between the sales department and all other operational departments.
  • Prepares technical proposals for equipment.
  • Follows supervisor instructions on methods, techniques or approaches.
  • Attend bid clarification meetings.
  • Facilitate order handover to site facility for manufacturing
  • Ensure correct technical order bookings.
  • Process inquiries and assist in resolving customer concerns

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent technical capability.
  • Commercially focused.
  • Ability to assess commercial terms and conditions.
  • Proven track record of a customer service ethos.
  • Interacts with customers by phone or in-person to provide information and to ensure the best technical service possible.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English to various stakeholders based across the globe.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BE in mechanical engineering in regular courses from a recognized university and institute
  • 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in Application Engineering, Technical Support, and Proposal Preparations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
