Role & Responsibilities: Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Procurement/Purchase Engineer

Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Sourcing & Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on technical capabilities and cost competitiveness.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Issue purchase orders in line with company requirements, ensuring accuracy in terms of specifications, delivery timelines, and quantities.
- Track and monitor the delivery of procured items, resolving any issues related to supply chain disruptions.
- Cost Optimization:
- Continuously work towards reducing procurement costs through effective negotiation and identifying alternative suppliers or materials.
- Work closely with the procurement team to implement cost-saving strategies and reduce cycle times in procurement.
- Supplier Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all materials meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure consistent product quality.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as Production, R&D, and Finance to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
- Ensure all procured materials meet the specific requirements for production and are compliant with industry standards.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and delivery timelines.
- Generate reports on procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, and material lead times.
