The TD team for ISEA is focused on Customer Product development & Engineering, Innovation for the region, rollout of new technologies for the region, testing, Failure Investigation, scaleup from POC to series production, Portfolio Management etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Project Engineer -AECC
Reports To: Regional Manager AECC India
Role Type: Individual Contribution
Location: Pune
Role Purpose:
In this role the Engineer uses state of the art tools and methods to solve engineering challenges. These challenges includecollaborating with SKF’s Application Engineering Group to increase or optimize the performance of industrial machinery. They also include working on SKF’s next generation products in collaboration with the Product Development organization.
Typically, the Project Engineer will use virtual modelling and simulation embedded with coding as needed to represent the system’s physical behaviour and explore solution alternatives. In all cases, the Project Engineer will help to bring SKF’s understanding of an engineering challenge to a higher level in a collaborative way.
Key Responsibilities
- To perform advanced engineering analyses in support of Application Engineering or Product/Technology Development, and external customers
- To use state of the art tools, such as SKF’s internal modelling and simulation packages as well as commercial tools
- To understand the needs of the external customer and filter out areas where simulation can be used efficiently to support those needs
- To perform agreed activities in line with time and quality objectives
- To interface directly with peers, experts, and customers
- To connect with Development, Engineering and Application teams for necessary cross functional collaboration for successful completion of studies.
- To plan, execute, control and evaluate required activities autonomously or in cooperation with the Application Engineer / Project Manager
- To write technical proposals, transforming the engineering challenge into a meaningful statement of work
- To prepare the engineering reports with clear abstract of the analyses done, outlining the key findings and recommendations
- To interact on engineering challenges with peers and experts inside and outside the global AECC organization
- To document gained knowledge into Modelling & Simulation best practices
- To build and maintain a network within the SKF organisation
- To maintain update your individual skills autonomously or through a formal training to keep up with customer engineering needs

We expect you to have:
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Strong analytical mindset with modelling and simulation background
- Combo experience in FEA and MBD (High-level experience in ANSYS APDL, ANSYS Workbench, etc., and low-level experience in Multi-Body Dynamics),
- Experience with bearings and customer machinery
- Effective communication to both internal and external customers
- Teamwork ability, interest to learn from, and share competences with others, locally and globally
- Willingness to travel
- Good command of the English language
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering stream.
- 2-6 Years of relevant functional work experience.
