Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proposal Manager to work on tenders for power plants. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire bid process, from initial client engagement to proposal submission, and ensuring that our bids are competitive, technically sound, and aligned with client requirements. Your deep knowledge of BOP power plant, waste heat boilers and auxiliary systems will be essential in delivering successful proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Assessment: Conduct in-depth technical assessments of project requirements, including, auxiliary equipment specifications like Air cooled condenser,WTP plant, HVAC, fire fighting,Air compressor & dosing system. Waste heat recovery systems, boiler and its auxiliary design exposure will be an added advantage.
- Bid Preparation: Lead the development of comprehensive and competitive bids, including technical proposals, cost estimates, project schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Cost Analysis: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to estimate project costs accurately and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Proposal Strategy: Develop bid strategies that differentiate our proposals, emphasizing technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project timelines.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess project risks and mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Bid Submission: Prepare and submit high-quality, timely bid packages, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Project execution: Post order lead execution efforts in terms of collaboration with all internal stake holders for successful completion of project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical.
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager, preferably with a focus on BOP of power plants
- and exposure to WHR boilers and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of waste heat recovery systems, boilers, and related
- auxiliary equipment.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with clients.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
