Job description

Your new role – results-oriented and future-oriented

• Design steam turbine systems and periphery to assure that they are effective and cost efficient and will meet contractual and industry requirements.
• Engineering and preparation of project engineering documents like general arrangement drawing, piping and instrumentation diagram, Equipment datasheets etc. as per project requirement.
• Preparation 3D & 2D equipment layout, detailed manufacturing drawings as per inputs
• To develop unique design solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
• Knowledge of international standards e.g. process piping ASME B31.3, Power piping ASME B31.1 and codes ASME, API. Preparation & checking of Piping Isometric drawings and Piping Specifications.
• Answers external client questions related to steam turbines, their package, auxiliaries, periphery and their related support systems
• Solid understanding of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations required.
• Responsible for creating P&ID for steam turbine lube oil, jacking oil, interconnecting piping, condenser
• Responsible for creating wiring diagram for steam turbine with detailed knowledge of instruments
• To prepare Instrument bill of material, Utility list and ISA datasheets for steam turbine unit
• Able to create Control narrative, Logic diagram and Cause and effect diagram
• Responsible for preparing gauge boards, instruments Hook-up drawings
• Strong quality orientation and customer focus.
• Cross collaboration with other teams/departments (e.g. instrumentation)
• Completely familiar with ASME, ASTM, API & other related specifications / codes

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of shown experience in steam turbine systems and package design
• Proven understanding of NX11 & GloBus TC11
• Experienced in AutoCAD for creating P&ID
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines; work independently with minimal mentorship
• Knowledge and understanding of Siemens products and services
• Experience in working with rotating machinery / turbomachinery such as steam turbine, gas turbine, centrifugal/radial compressors, axial compressors, expanders,
• Possess fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery theory and detailed understanding of standard engineering principles
• Preferred detailed knowledge about control and instrumentation
• Ability to prioritize and continuously improve a team knowledge base and apply lean methods within daily work, e.g. a team Kanban process
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform detailed engineering calculations
• Participate in and/or conduct process and design FMEA and RCA as a part of multi-functional team, as the need arises
