As a Mechanical Engineer working on O&M Contract at ONGC Odalarevu, you will be involved in leading the Operation and Maintainance team 24 x 7, providing 100% availability of machinery without process interruptions, mechanical maintenance activities and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical equipment and systems. You will work on meaningful projects such as developing and implementing maintenance strategies, conducting regular inspections, and providing technical support to maintenance teams. Your work will have a significant impact on the team, our customers, and Siemens Energy’s mission by contributing to the smooth operation of mechanical assets and ensuring the safety and reliability of oil and gas production. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure reliable operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Handling O&M manpower, scheduling shifts and jobs for workmen.
  • Coordination with Client at the site for PTW and other compliances required for day-to-day activities.
  • Daily Progress Reports preparation and circulation within the team, Job-related Safety documentation required for the Job.
  • Identification of hazards and risks involved in day-to-day activities and assessing control measures for a safe working environment.
  • Communication with Clients, Contractors, SE Managers, and Workmen regarding all activities done at the site and preparing required documentation.
  • Conducting Toolbox talks, Training, and Awareness sessions for day-to-day job activities and EHS.
  • Compiling all guidelines and inspections required for work performed at site and maintaining records.
  • Start/Stop/Changeovers of Compressor trains as per requirements of Gas Compression.
  • Responsible for ensuring the availability of all compressor packages for operation.
  • Continues vigilant on Operation of Compressors and immediate action on Predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Condition monitoring of equipment, and maintaining records as per SE guidelines and Contractual requirements.
  • Scheduling of periodic maintenance activities of Compressor trains and associated auxiliary as per OEM guidelines.
  • Inspection and Maintenance of EHS documentation required for the site.
  • Preparation for site audits like Internal/Client/Technical/EHS/DGMS/OISD/Etc.
  • Preparation of maintenance schedules, Performing on-hand job for compressor train schedule/Preventive/predictive/routine/Breakdown maintenance.
  • Handling of precision tools for measuring required dimensions of machinery parts and comparing them with OEM standards.
  • Troubleshooting of issues in compressor train and preparation of failure analysis for issues.
  • Preparation of Monthly reports, Monthly activities planning, maintaining records for spare parts, consumables, and waste management.
  • Internal auditing of Tools, consumables, PPEs, and documentation.
  • Uploading all documentation related to the site in SE internal servers.
  • Responsible for all jobs carried at site not only limited to mechanical activities.

What You Bring

  • Minimum Qualification: B.Tech. / Diploma – Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in O&M of gas plants. At least 02years of experience in the operation and maintenance of Gas Engine Reciprocating Gas Compressor packages.
  • Experience in Operation, Maintenance, and Commissioning of Compressors/ Pumps/Gas Engines should be familiar with instrumentation involved in Oil & Gas Processes/Compression.
  • Knowledge of handling precision tools, Condition monitoring of machinery, analyzing and rectification of issues in Machinery.
  • Having good soft skills (MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic Knowledge about EHS practice in the oil and Gas field.
  • Flexible for relocation and traveling, must have Telugu Language speaking skills.
