The VP TAO is accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Chemicals and Products, Integrated Gas, and Upstream. TAO provides high-quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at a site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS/SEAM Framework work processes
What is the role?
This role is to support the assigned Projects/RM/NRM/TA Portfolio in the Requisition Tech Role scope including the delivery of quality PR/POs to vendors on time to support project construction, Maintenance, and Turnaround activity.
What we need from you
- Perform the role of Purchase Requisition (PR) Technical Screener (data entry in SAP), for Materials and Services, serving as the interface between buyer and requestors.
- Order approved materials and process service contract procurement actions adhering to standard, defined processes, and ensuring the accuracy of information.
- Good commercial sense and understanding of procurement.
- Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) to vendors, coordinating with Buyers for efficient PO delivery.
- Collaborate with CP leads and Buyers to optimize contract utilization and resolve queries related to trading houses. Additionally, liaise with RM, NRM, Project, and Turnaround stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables.
- Participate and comply with all safety programs.
- Analytical skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
- Basic understanding of the Group CMCP process and commercial contract management technique
- Assist with the continuous improvement and implementation of standardized work processes for effective materials and services requisitions.
- Knowledge in RPP, Variation Order (VO), Service Entry Sheet (SES) creation, PO Closeout
- Reporting – Generate material order reports encompassing open PR items and delivery status.
Key Experiences and Qualifications:
- A University Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or other related degree is preferred.
- Preferably at least 2 years of work experience in basic procurement, RTP (request to pay), material management experience, cost engineering, and supporting the procurement.
- Working knowledge of a broad range of Procurement process
- Skill in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SAP/ GSAP or other purchasing tool, Excel
- Background in Oil and Gas maintenance and operations is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
- Strong aptitude for Learner Mindset
- Flexibility to move quickly across changing priorities and manage multiple Projects/Programmes.
- Strong proficiency in using English for both spoken and written communication, as well as using MS Teams/Skype for Business, Video Conferencing, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
- A good understanding of the Upstream/DS/IG business and how it works.
- Ability to engage and effectively communicate at all levels inside and outside Shell and within different cultural settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to challenge and ability to build internal and external relationships based on trust and to integrate across multiple functions.
- Continuous Improvement and Knowledge of Lean CI methodology is an added value.
