Position Description

This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, manpower planning, improving production efficiency, and maintaining safety protocols in the workplace. The position also involves reducing process rejections and rework, alongside motivating and managing the workforce for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manpower Management:
   • Plan and ensure manpower availability.
   • Build and maintain good relationships with operators to create a harmonious work environment.
2. Production Efficiency:
   • Reduce rework and process rejection rates by implementing effective countermeasures.
   • Daily production planning and review short and long-term goals.
   • Ensure efficient assembly processes to reduce cycle time and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
3. Safety & Compliance:
   • Ensure adherence to safety practices and usage of safety devices.
   • Follow safety standards to prevent major accidents.
4. Problem Solving:
   • Coordinate with peers to resolve line issues.
   • Regularly update the production dashboard and review outputs, rejection reports, and rework records.
5. Team Motivation:
   • Motivate and encourage workmen to improve continuously and participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.
6. Key Performance Metrics:
   • Productivity improvement.
   • Reduction of rework and process rejections.
   • Achieve internal process rejection PPM targets.
   • Improve OEE.
   • Zero major accidents.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  3 to 4 years of experience in production, preferably with expertise in sheet metal processes.
• Certifications/Training:
  Knowledge of TS-16949 standards and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) would be advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of sheet metal welding processes.
  • Experience with Yaskawa Robot teaching.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with TPM JH activities.
  • Proficiency in Hindi is an added advantage.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong manpower handling and team motivation skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
