Job Overview

The role involves driving efficiency and innovation in the New Product Development (NPD) and process engineering department. The candidate will be instrumental in enhancing production line efficiency, implementing lean methodologies, and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Education: BE Mechanical
Experience:
DME: 4–6 years of experience in auto ancillary companies.
BE: 3–5 years of experience in auto ancillary companies.

Key Responsibilities

Improve line efficiency using Industrial Engineering (IE) techniques.
Create layouts for existing and future machines.
Develop single-piece flow concepts for manufacturing cells.
Design and standardize material handling equipment.
Conduct time and motion studies for all processes.
Balance production lines based on input cycle times.
Develop standard times for all processes.
Drive SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) projects.
Generate BOMs and item codes in ERP systems.
Implement and document ECN/PCN changes.
Collaborate as a Cross-Functional Team (CFT) member for new project FTGs.
Support Process Flow Diagram (PFD), PFMEA, and Control Plans, including updates based on feedback and changes.
Coordinate with vendors for new FTG development.
Ensure documentation complies with IATF/MSES requirements.

Technical & Functional Knowledge

Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes.
Expertise in IE and lean tools.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Knowledge of software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools.

Skills

Layout Planning: Optimize manufacturing layouts for efficiency.
Time and Motion Studies: Analyze processes for productivity enhancements.
Data Analysis: Interpret metrics to drive decision-making.
