Role Overview
The Technical Sales Engineer will drive day-to-day sales and marketing efforts, focusing on building client relationships, demonstrating product features, and achieving sales targets. This role is vital for promoting SCHWINGS STETTER’s innovative concreting solutions, including heavy machinery and concrete equipment, to expand the company’s market presence through effective client engagement and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain client relationships by understanding their requirements and offering tailored solutions.
- Sales & Marketing Activities: Work closely with the sales team to forecast accurate market projections and collaborate with the factory on timely dispatches and commitments.
- Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations to showcase product features and benefits to potential customers.
- Market Development: Conduct regular travel within assigned territory for site visits, client meetings, and new business development.
- Networking: Establish and maintain connections with financiers, OEMs, and other stakeholders to generate inquiries and expand the market reach.
- Reporting: Update daily tasks, activities, and sales performance metrics as required.
Qualifications
- Education: BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- Experience: 3-10 years in sales of heavy machinery, heavy equipment, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction equipment, specifically concrete equipment and boom pumps.
- Technical acumen in client needs assessment and solution customization.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
- High proficiency in negotiation, business development, and analytical problem-solving.
Desirable Skills
- Background in heavy machinery and equipment sales.
- Experience in revenue generation, market analysis, and competitor comparison.
- Proficient in establishing and maintaining professional networks within the industry.
