Role Summary:
As a Senior Application Engineer on Schneider Electric’s Industrial Enclosures team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering various industrial enclosures, including standard metering enclosures and custom PLC-based control panels. The role involves creating, refining, and ensuring the accuracy of engineering designs in collaboration with project managers and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis.
- Create engineering drawings and designs for manufacturing.
- Draft design specifications, documentation, and comprehensive material lists.
- Estimate materials and production costs.
- Prepare documentation packages to support engineers and project managers.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Develop technical reports for engineering review.
Required Skills:
- CAD Proficiency: Competency with Creo and AutoCAD.
- Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and error-free work.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, receiving direction from managers and engineers.
- Communication: Strong reading, writing, and documentation skills.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to create innovative solutions to design challenges.
