Job description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to and support the design, manufacturing, testing, and support activities for the development of new offers or the evolution of existing offers. Our products are data-related infrastructure, including Uninterrupted Power Supply, rack power distribution, rack automatic transfer switches, and more.
Qualifications
Education & Overall Experience:
B.E/BTech in Mechanical – with 3 to 5 year’s experience.
Domain Experience:
- Hand’s experience in electromechanical product design.
- Working experience and understanding of Sheet metal processes, and coatings.
- Understanding of manufacturing process for parts/assemblies using sheet metal forming, injection molding, and die-cast.
- Design experience on PCBs with ECAD-MCAD interactions.
- Experience in the design and selection of wire harnesses, connectors, and glands.
- Tolerance stack-up analysis and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning, Tolerancing, and Engineering Drawing Practices.
- Knowledge of UL/IEC/NEC standards related to electrical cables, enclosures, and conduits is preferred.
Software Experience:
- 3 years working experience on CAD software Creo (sheet metal, pro/cabling, drawings).
