JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented “Mechanical Design Engineer – Trainee” to join our engineering team. The individual will be a part of the engine team and shall be able to work and grow in tandem with team objectives. The candidate will assist in designing Engine components and systems, preparing CAD models, and Supporting Engineering activities like SAP BOM Creation, maintaining product data in SAP, and product development activities under the guidance of senior engineers/managers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES

• Assist in creating 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Unigraphics, Creo).
• Support design activities for new product development and engineering changes.
• Create BOM & Maintain Material Master in SAP.
• Perform basic tolerance analysis, material selection, and design calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, procurement) to ensure design feasibility.
• Maintain design documentation and adhere to company standards.
• Participate in design reviews and implement feedback from senior engineers.
• Learn and apply basic GD&T principles and industry best practices.
• Maintains project records, prepares technical, cost, and other reports as requested to show progress and results achieved.
• Works to support the department goals.
• Demonstrates and acts on innovative traits: curiosity, continuous questioning, open-mindedness, and investigation.

• Reports to Manager, Engines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Preferred Qualification: Internship or academic project experience in mechanical design

TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW

• Preferred proficiency in CAD tools (Unigraphics, Creo)
• Good to have exposure to SAP
• Good to have exposure in PLM software (Windchill, Team Center)
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of engine technology and components
• Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products and the ability to learn new software programs quickly.
• Good to have knowledge of Power BI, C / C+ language

SOFT SKILLS

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
