Position: Design Engineer Associate

Position Summary:

The Design Engineer Associate will support Design To Order (DTO) and Engineered To Order (ETO) projects involving component and layout designs. This role requires mechanical engineering expertise to create and improve designs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal standards.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Design & Documentation:
   • Create and modify 2D/3D layouts and assemblies as per customer specifications.
   • Develop complete and accurate drawing packages for ECRs/ECNs within assigned timelines.
   • Prepare design documents, installation instructions, and customer data sheets.
2. Product Development:
   • Support the design and improvement of components and products using standard tools and methodologies.
   • Assist in developing basic test plans for products or components.
3. Problem-Solving & Collaboration:
   • Address basic design challenges and participate in problem-solving tasks.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers effectively and professionally.
4. Standards & Compliance:
   • Ensure adherence to GD&T and drafting standards.
   • Contribute to projects with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with a strong academic record.
• Experience:
  • 0–4 years of experience in designing industrial products such as couplings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, turbines, clutches, brakes, material handling equipment, or machine tools.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and drafting standards.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Soft Skills:
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal collaboration skills.
• Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Additional:
  • Willingness to travel regionally or globally (less than 10%).
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
