Position – Design Engineer Associate

Job description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting senior designers for orders/Offers/ECNs/Drawings/3D models/Rendering images creation and project work as assigned.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist senior designers for modifying existing 2D/3D layouts, and assemblies as per customer requirements.
• Develop/modify part, and assembly drawings by taking inputs such as customer layout, proposal document, and existing references of the existing products, and systems. Create 3D parts and part drawings.
• Produce Rendered images by using 3D CAD models
• Coordinate and create the library of machine layouts, part and assembly drawings.
• Work on ECRs/ECNs to create complete and accurate drawing packages within the assigned time.
• Perform self-quality checks on the drawings/designs generated as per industry guidelines.
• Provide assistance to inside and outside customers as per set process.
• Monitor performance with regard to quality, cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
• Track and monitor revisions on drawings.
• Provide order/offer/project support as required.
• Document all aspects of every project as required.
• Support in creating design documents, installation instructions, customer data sheets, rendering, catalogue support etc..
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, co-workers, and company personnel.
• Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required, capable of handling multiple projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in mechanical engineering from a reputed college.
• Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in designing any industrial products like gearboxes, pumps, motors, Couplings, Conveyor/material handling equipment/machine tool will be preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in CAD work Solid Edge/SolidWorks CAD Tool .
• Proficient OR Freshers with good expertise in SOLIDWORKS Visualize: 3D CAD Rendering Software OR Any other Rendering Tool.
• Freshers with good expertise in Solid Edge/SolidWorks CAD Tool.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards like ASME Y14.5.
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and with sense of urgency.
• Competent in Microsoft computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
