Job Summary

As an Application Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in solving technical challenges presented by customers, manufacturing teams, quality assurance, sales, and engineering departments. The role requires an in-depth understanding of mechanical power transmission couplings and customer applications. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure the best coupling solutions, provide technical support, and manage project inquiries effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support
   • Analyze customer technical specifications and applications to recommend appropriate products.
   • Provide detailed technical specifications and quotations for selected coupling solutions.
   • Guide customers on maintenance procedures and system analyses.
2. Problem-Solving
   • Resolve technical issues and respond to product-related inquiries from sales, marketing, and customer service teams.
   • Assess feasibility for design modifications on non-standard configurations.
3. Project Coordination
   • Manage large project inquiries and quotations involving multiple Regal Rexnord products.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for quotations.
4. Documentation and Reporting
   • Maintain performance metrics and manage corrective and preventive actions.
   • Interpret engineering GA drawings and ensure adherence to relevant standards (AGMA, DIN, ISO, API, ASTM).
5. Continuous Improvement
   • Actively seek new ways to improve processes and customer solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
  • 1-2 years in Application Engineering or Technical Sales.
  • Familiarity with power transmission and marine systems is an advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in SAP, Salesforce (SFDC), and MS Office.
  • Experience with CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of industrial standards (AGMA, DIN, ISO, API, ASTM).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting demands and provide flexible solutions.
