Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Qualifications

• Degree: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 1-3 years in the design and development of mechanical systems and components, preferably in the aerospace domain

Required Knowledge and Skills

Technical Expertise

1. Solid Mechanics:
   • Knowledge of loading conditions and failure mechanisms.
2. Design Proficiency:
   • Expertise in designing structures, mechanisms, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
   • Ability to create detailed production-release drawings adhering to ASME standards.
3. CAD Software and Tools:
   • Experience with Unigraphics, CATIA, Creo, and Pro E.
   • Proficiency in PLM and CAM machining tools.
4. Composites:
   • Understanding of thermoplastic and thermoset composite design, material characterization, manufacturing methods, tooling, and joining methods.
5. Aerospace Systems (Preferred):
   • Knowledge of aerospace-grade mechanical systems/components such as interior components, seating systems, galleys, and lighting.
   • Familiarity with testing, certification, and qualification processes.
