Job Summary:

Join Rambøll’s REC UK Buildings Team to design and deliver exceptional mechanical building services projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on high-impact projects across commercial, healthcare, sports, and residential sectors. This role involves designing HVAC, water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems while ensuring compliance with UK standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Engineering:
    • HVAC system design, including heat load calculation using HAP, Hevacomp, or IES.
    • Perform pressure drop calculations and equipment selection.
    • Develop layouts and certify models in Revit/CAD.
  • Analysis & Testing:
    • Conduct feasibility and pressure drop testing.
    • Perform capacity sizing and validation.
  • Coordination & Compliance:
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and India.
    • Ensure designs meet UK standards and industry regulations.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain design basis reports, calculations, and project records.
    • Prepare drawings with GD&T using advanced design software.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
  • Experience:
    • 3–8 years in mechanical building services design.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in HVAC system design and software such as Revit, MagiCAD, HAP, Hevacomp, Navisworks, and Solibri.
    • Familiarity with mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems (CAV and VAV).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global teams.
