Job Summary:
Join Rambøll’s REC UK Buildings Team to design and deliver exceptional mechanical building services projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on high-impact projects across commercial, healthcare, sports, and residential sectors. This role involves designing HVAC, water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems while ensuring compliance with UK standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering:
- HVAC system design, including heat load calculation using HAP, Hevacomp, or IES.
- Perform pressure drop calculations and equipment selection.
- Develop layouts and certify models in Revit/CAD.
- Analysis & Testing:
- Conduct feasibility and pressure drop testing.
- Perform capacity sizing and validation.
- Coordination & Compliance:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and India.
- Ensure designs meet UK standards and industry regulations.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain design basis reports, calculations, and project records.
- Prepare drawings with GD&T using advanced design software.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Experience:
- 3–8 years in mechanical building services design.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HVAC system design and software such as Revit, MagiCAD, HAP, Hevacomp, Navisworks, and Solibri.
- Familiarity with mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems (CAV and VAV).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global teams.
