PT Job Description:
- Support the Production Technology (MRB – Material Review Board) activities related to various Large, Medium and Small Gas Turbine Aeroengines.
- Working in a significantly challenging work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Good knowledge of GD&T
- Drawing reading & Interpretation
- Stack-up analysis
- Create design reviews/MRB, Repair substantiation experience.
- Work experience with MFG suppliers
- Knowledge of Assembly fits
- Knowledge of Bolt Joint evaluation, Buckling analysis, Vibration analysis
- Knowledge of Balance assessment/Over speed/Over Pressure assessment
- Knowledge of Crack propagation analysis
- Knowledge of Crush stress evaluation/Kt calculation
- Working knowledge of Aero/Gas turbine engines parts (Compressor, Turbine and Combustor)
- Knowledge of various types of repairs which can be applied to components.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and their application during component repair.
- In-depth knowledge of working of various engine systems e.g. oil, fuel, air, bleed etc.
- In-depth knowledge of various failure/ deterioration mechanisms leading to component/ system failures or distress
- In-depth knowledge of gas turbine aeroengines, engine components and their function.
- In-depth understanding of gas turbine fundamentals.
- Knowledge on purpose and functioning of different LRUs in engine operation.
- Knowledge of various inspection methods including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.
- Knowledge of various types of repairs which can be applied to components.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and their application during component repair.
- Knowledge in engine assembly / disassembly and build shop.
- Understanding of various delivery excellence and quality control systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering specialization with strong academic track record.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in Aviation Engines / Turbomachinery / Aircraft product and Customer support Engineering, Design or Repair activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
- Strong time management skills.
- Proactive and able to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to make quick decisions.
- Able to take calculated risks.

Required tools:
- Good knowledge on modelling tools like Unigraphics
- Good knowledge on FE Analysis tools like Ansys
- Good hands-on experience in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and similar tools), Adobe.
- Knowledge of AS9100/ ISO9001 and Six Sigma Tools will be an added advantage.
