Role Overview: Quest Global is seeking a Mechanical Drafter with proficiency in AutoCAD to create process engineering drawings such as P&ID, PFD, and GA drawings. This role requires experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Process industries. The candidate will be responsible for drafting 2D layouts and handling technical deliverables with a strong focus on best drafting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize 2D AutoCAD for drafting, including knowledge of AutoCAD blocks, attributes, and model/layout space.
- Draft and update P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), PFD (Process Flow Diagrams), HFD (Heat Flow Diagrams), and GA (General Arrangement) drawings.
- Apply tagging philosophy, P&ID blocks, and instrument constructs based on various standards.
- Collaborate with teams on equipment and piping layouts for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Water industries.
- Assist in promoting and implementing drafting best practices internally.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years in design or drafting, ideally in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Process industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD drafting, especially in process engineering deliverables.
- Knowledge of SPPID and piping design is an added advantage.
- Experience with 3D plant modeling tools like Plant 3D or PDMS is preferred.
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting, especially P&ID and process diagrams.
- Familiarity with the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Process industries is a plus.
- Good understanding of process engineering workflows, equipment layouts, and piping systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to promote best drafting practices.
