Description:

• Responsible for leading projects for the development and validation of new electro-mechanical component suppliers for the HVACR industry.
• Collaborate with sourcing, operations, and supplier quality teams on supplier selection and qualification.
• Leverage Lennox International Inc., Product Development Process, and Supplier Development Process to deliver new component suppliers.
• Develop Test Plan to Qualify Components and conduct Independent Design Reviews
• Monitor supplier’s qualification schedule, and train/coach to qualify as quickly as possible.
• Develop validation and risk mitigation plans. Manage execution of activities, data collection, and analysis.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including presentations, technical reports, lab test results, drawings, specifications, and PPAP.
• Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects and achieve scheduled milestones for assigned projects.
• Provide guidance and leadership to suppliers, lab technicians, and other team members.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally for up to two weeks at a time. Able to attain a necessary visa for travel when applicable. Potential travel up to 20%.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of work experience in product development and supplier development is required.
• Experience in developing Test Plans to Qualify Components and conduct Independent Design Reviews
• Phase-Gate product development processes.
• Supplier Development Processes
• Project management experience
• Exposure to electromechanical components
• HVAC/R design is a strong plus
